Mobile Suit Gundam fu ideato da Yoshiyuki Tomino nel 1979, proprio la prima serie televisiva rappresenta un punto di svolta nella storia degli anime robotiche, in quanto capostipite del sottogenere dei cosiddetti real robot. Fu trasmessa per la prima volta in Giappone dal 7 aprile 1979 al 26 gennaio 1980. La serie in Italia venne trasmessa per la prima volta nel 1980 su diverse tv locali, conquistando tanti bambini tra cui la sottoscritta.

Praticamente una soap opera in piena regola. Tutte le bambine degli anni 80 guardavano il cartone animato e compravano le figurine Panini della serie. I miei quaderni di scuola erano colmi di disegni che raffiguravano la bionda lentigginosa e il suo procione. Adoravo i suoi codini gonfi con i fiocchi rossi. Navigando sulla rete mi sono imbattuta in una cosa fantastica. Si tratta del Cosplay di Candy. Per chi non sapesse cosa fossero i Cosplay possiamo dire che si tratta di un movimento nato in Giappone che consiste nel travestirsi nei personaggi del manga. Questa ragazza ha scelto di fare il Cosplay di Candy in maniera strepitosa. Pubblico la sua foto e la possibile immagine da cui secondo me ha preso spunto, e gli do 10 e lode.
